Many people can recover from bipolar disorders and schizophrenia.

Fasting or a very low protein, whole food, plant-based diet can eliminate hallucinations and delusions for many people.

Many people can recover by continuing on a lower protein, whole food, plant-based lifestyle.

70% of persons diagnosed with schizophrenia did well in a little known large international research study in which over a 30 year period 10,000 people were fasted in a psychiatric hospital with a staff of 500 physicians. After fasting the patients ate a primarily vegetarian diet and fasted intermittently to keep the protein level lower.

Similar dramatic results were reported in the replication study by Alan Cott, M.D. at Gracie Square Hospital in New York.

Many people who were diagnosed with schizophrenia then would be diagnosed with a bipolar disorder today.

The food we eat can rapidly affect the brain as well as the heart and our whole body.

Many people can reverse heart disease with a low fat, whole food, plant-based lifestyle as shown by Dean Ornish, M.D., Caldwell Esselstyn Jr, M.D. and many other cardiologists.

Medicare and most insurances cover Dr. Ornish’s online program for reversing heart disease at Ornish.com.

Ornish reported in 2024 that many people can reverse early Alzheimer’s.

Drs. Dean and Ayesha Sherzai report that 90% of people can prevent Alzheimer’s and the most important factor is a whole food, plant-based lifestyle.

Many people can prevent and reverse chronic illnesses with a whole food, plant-based lifestyle.

If you are on medication, it is very important to work your own provider. No one should stop or reduce medication on their own. Psychotropic medications most always need to be tapered before being stopped. Neuroleptic medications, so called antipsychotics, which they are not, need to be tapered slowly, especially at the end, when usually minute amounts are needed which are much smaller than the smallest pill before being discontinued. It is very important to work with your own provider and not to stop or reduce medication on your own as you adopt a healthier lifestyle.

I share my brother’s story, the recovery of others, research and model programs from around the world in this eBook. Use the principles, research, model programs, and the chapter on how to get started as well as the resources, links, and inspiration to help yourself, your loved ones and friends, patients, community, and our world.

Too many lives have been lost prematurely and too many individuals and families are suffering as mine did for 44 years. My brother was accepted to medical school at age 19 at the University of Hawaii, then diagnosed with schizophrenia. He later successfully studied 2 and a half years of medical school before dropping out. Read the rest of his story in the eBook and let us work together to help people recover. Many people can recover!
